Dr. Christine Kato founded Kato Animal Hospital in 1982, and still owns and runs the clinic. We treat dogs, cats and pocket pets (most commonly rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters and gerbils). We have a well-established clientele and are actively involved with work for Boxer Rescue, Yorkie Rescue and the Annex Cat Rescue. Previously, we worked with the Endangered Animal Sanctuary and Animal Rescue.
Our services:

We care about your pet’s well-being and comfort. This means finding the best treatment options for you and your pet, preventative health care like senior blood testing, prescription food for weight control or organ disease, dental cleaning, or professionally supervised boarding and grooming. An experienced & friendly team

Our staff is qualified, well trained and caring. Some of our employees have been at the clinic for more than 10 years. We encourage all staff members to keep their skills up-to-date thanks to continuing education and monthly meetings. We also have a veterinary website membership (Veterinary Information Network) to keep us in touch with professionals and specialists at any time of the day. Laboratory services are provided by the Vitatech laboratory, which also has specialists available for consultation. Ultrasound and surgery specialists are available for on site consultations.

We're located in the east end of Toronto near the crossroads of East York/Scarborough and the Upper Beaches. Please call ahead for directions, or if you or your pets need special care.

Tuesday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Wednesday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Closed on Sunday
